A handful of the world’s best choreographers on a plate. Simply put, that is what Goecke + Galla is about.
It will be a repeat of the National Ballet’s contribution to the opening gala of 12th April 2008. The German choreographer Marco Goecke is also creating a new work for the dancers of the National ballet. Marco Goecke is one of the most innovative, sought-after and most discussed young choreographers at the moment. He is the house choreographer of Stuttgarter Ballett and regular guest choreographer at Scapino Ballet Rotterdam. His signature style has been described as a fragile balance between darkness and humour, a revelation of life in all its peculiarity and vonurability.
