Anastasiia Demidova

Anastasiia was born in Tomsk, Siberia in 1999 and moved with her family to St Petersburg when she was 6 years old. In 2010 she joined the Vaganova Ballet Academy where she trained until her graduation in June 2018. With the Vaganova Acadamy, she toured Japan with The Nutcracker (2016), Switzerland with The Fairy Doll (2018), and Italy with The Naiid & the Fisherman.

Anastasiia graduated with Honours from the class of Yulia Kasenkova and immediately joined the corps de ballet of the Mariinsky Theatre in July 2018. Since then, Anastasiia has performed with the Mariinsky Ballet in all of the company’s major repertoire and toured with the company to Washington DC with Le Corsaire (April 2019), Taiwan with Swan Lake (July 2019), Vladivostok with La Bayadère, Sylvia and Push Comes to Shove (July 2019), Washington DC with Paquita (October 2019), California with La Bayadère and Jewels (October/November 2019), Beijing, Nanjing with Don Quixote, Chopiniana, Scheherazade and Firebird (November 2019), Baden-Baden with The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Chopiniana (December 2021).

Anastasiia’s featured roles include the middle girl in the Siesta Trio in Suite en Blanc, 4 Fairies in Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Solo character couple in Romeo & Juliet Act 2, Grand Pas in Paquita Act 3, 4 Lead Waltz couples in The Nutcracker, 4 Lead Waltz girls in Swan Lake, Lead Mazurka Couple in Swan Lake, 4 couples in Twyla Tharp’s Push Comes to Shove, Grand Pas in Don Quixote Acts 2 & 3, the first line of the Shades in La Bayadère.
