From November 21, you can watch the Norwegian National Ballet and the Norwegian National Opera join forces in this masterpiece – free via the European opera platform OperaVision.

Both audiences and critics loved this production when it premiered on the Main Stage earlier this autumn. “A monumental project that delivers,” wrote Maren Ørstavik in Aftenposten, while KlassiskMusikk called it “a magnificent performance, where the entire musical and dance apparatus in Bjørvika is set in motion.”

Mythological and grand
In Jocasta’s Line, two Greek tragedies are interwoven: Oedipus Rex and Antigone. Samy Moussa has composed the music for Antigone, while Oedipus Rex is set to Igor Stravinsky’s original 1927 score.
