From Classical to Contemporary 

Dancers aged 8–16 present both familiar and new choreography in classical ballet, modern dance, and character dance – showcasing abundant talent and a true joy of dancing! 

The performance also offers excerpts from the classical ballet repertoire, performed by students from the ballet programme at Ruseløkka Middle School. 

A Sure Sign of Spring 

The Ballet School’s student performance has been a regular highlight every spring for many years. All former students who now dance with the Norwegian National Ballet or international companies had their first stage experiences here. 

About the Ballet School 

The Norwegian National Ballet School is the Norwegian National Ballet’s own school and has, for 60 years, been the country’s leading institution for basic training in classical ballet. It is now among the leading ballet schools in the Nordic region, and many of our students have gone on to dance with the Norwegian National Ballet and other top companies around the world. The school’s goal is to provide students with a solid education in classical ballet in a professional, positive, and motivating environment.
