Kristian Alm

Kristian Alm has danced leading parts in modern ballets such as León & Lightfoot's Sh-Boom, Shoot the Moon and Same Difference, and Kylián's Heart’s Labyrinth, Six Dances, Sarabande, Tar and Feathers, Symphony of Psalms and Gods and Dogs. He has danced in Ekman's A Swan Lake and Forsythe's Limb's Theorem and One Flat Thing, reproduced, and has had parts created for him in ballets such as Elo's Touch, Spuck's Woyzeck, Bjørnsgaard's Standard Arabesque, A Modern Place and Poly Poly, Strømgren's A Boys' Home and Suite, and Boyadjiev's Fade in Black. In 2017 he co-created his own choreography for the part as General Gabler in Moum Aunes acclaimed Hedda Gabler.

Alm studied at the ballet school attached to the Norwegian Opera & Ballet and the Hamburg Ballet, and joined the Norwegian National Ballet in 1997. He has also worked with external dance projects alongside the Norwegian National Ballet, including Carte Blanche from 2003 to 2006, with whom he danced leading parts in Naharin's Minus 2/Dance, Eyal's Love andBjørnsgaard's Sonata da Camera and Death and the Maiden. He also danced the role of Helmer in Nordseth's Hunting for Nora, which was produced in Beijing in 2006.
