Louka Do Vale Tinoco

Louka Do Vale Tinoco (b. 2001) is from Paris, France. He began dancing in 2010 in his hometown outside Paris and later continued his training at two of Europe’s most prestigious institutions: the Paris Opera Ballet School and The Royal Ballet School in London. 

During his studies he performed in Cantate 51 by Maurice Béjart, danced the role of the Prince in the Sugar Plum pas de deux from Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker, and appeared in Pulse by Goya Montero and La Valse by Frederick Ashton at The Royal Ballet School. 

Before joining the Norwegian National Ballet, Tinoco worked in Copenhagen. There he danced the role of James in Act II of La Sylphide by August Bournonville and performed in Napoli, also by Bournonville, in Tivoli Ballet’s production staged by Dinna Bjørn. He also collaborated creatively with choreographer Kevin O’Day. 

Since joining the Norwegian National Ballet, Tinoco has danced in Manon by Kenneth MacMillan, Jocasta’s Line by Wayne McGregor, Láhppon/Lost by Elle Sofe Sara and Hlin Hjálmarsdóttir, as well as Kaloyan Boyadjiev’s version of The Nutcracker. 

In addition to dance, Tinoco has a strong interest in photography.
