Sandra Bendrik

Soprano

The Norwegian-Swedish lyric soprano Sandra Bendrik has roots in both Risør and Kungälv. In the spring of 2024, she completed her education at the University College of Opera in Stockholm, with Robert Hyman as her main vocal teacher. In her graduation production, she performed the role of Rosaura in Wolf-Ferrari’s Le Donne Curiose at Karlstad Theater. She has a background and international experience in musical theatre, including studies at The Urdang Academy in London, where she graduated in 2018.

In 2023, she made her debut at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, where she completed her internship and sang A Slave in Strauss’s Salome. That same year, she was the cover for the lead role of Titania in Purcell’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Drottningholm Palace Theatre. In the summer of 2024, she performed Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic Flute at the Kirsten Flagstad Festival in Hamar.

She has been awarded the Bayreuth Scholarship from the Swedish Wagner Society, the Joel Berglund Singing Scholarship, and the Barbro Salén Singing Scholarship.
