Short and Sweet:
Die Csárdásfürstin
Short but sweet daytime performance!
How about a taste of operetta for lunch? A little midday comic relief? An inexpensive and low-key experience on the Main Stage of the Oslo Opera House? Look no further than this performance!
While the full version of Die Csárdásfürstin is performed in the evening, we offer a shorter variant of the operetta during the daytime. Enjoy a condensed version of the story about Edwin and Sylva, who fall in love despite class differences and deep-seated prejudices.
Catchy music that stays with you
The production is performed on the Main Stage by a highly skilled chamber music ensemble and superb opera soloists. There will be fewer seats available in the auditorium than usual, but an intimate ambience and memorable melodies.
For years, Die Csárdásfürstin was performed to full houses at the old operahouse in Folketeatret.
Pensioners, students and mum & baby groups
Perhaps this is the perfect outing or your pensioners’ club? Or do you work irregular hours and would like to experience some culture before your night shift? Or maybe you’re looking for something to do with a friend who prefers to avoid a crowded auditorium?
There are plenty of reasons to experience the classics at the Oslo Opera House in a slightly different way. Short and Sweet: Die Csárdásfürstin is one such possibility.
On 23 of October the performance is open to babies and mum & baby groups: Bring-a-baby.
