Children's Chorus:
Along the
Path of Song
A Tribute to Norway’s Song Heritage
The Opera’s Children’s Chorus invites you to an atmospheric concert where we follow the traces of song through time and tradition. From folk melodies to modern classics – join us on a musical journey that brings generations together.
A Musical Journey for the Whole Family
When the Norwegian National Opera’s Children’s Chorus takes the stage, the auditorium fills with the joy of singing and a touch of nostalgia. Along the Path of Song takes audiences on a journey through Norway’s rich song heritage, from beloved folk songs such as “Blåmann, Blåmann” and “Per Spelmann”, via texts by Henrik Wergeland and Henrik Ibsen, to well-known children’s songs by Margrethe Munthe and Alf Prøysen, as well as familiar and lesser-known nursery rhymes and verses.
But the journey does not end there. The programme also includes more recent favourites by Knutsen & Ludvigsen, deLillos and others.
A concert for the whole family, where audiences of all ages can revisit cherished memories while discovering new musical treasures.
