Opera and ballet for everyone

We want to make opera and ballet accessible to everyone, and to develop these art forms in step with society. Here is a selection of outreach programmes and activities that give more people the opportunity to experience, take part in, and contribute.

Opera

  • Opera Salon – with guests, musical features and an informal atmosphere, at Havsmak 
  • Morning Aria – a free daytime event, in the Foyer
  • Opera for everyone, RELÆXT – a relaxed, no-shushing zone where you can be exactly as you are, on Stage 2
  • Opera where you are – short, entertaining opera talks presented outside the Opera House 
  • Memories of opera – at care homes and institutions – and Stage 2.

Ballett 

  • Memories of ballet  – at care homes and institutions

 

  • Dance for PD® – dance teachers, the Oslo and Akershus Parkinson’s Association, and The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet:
