The Opera Orchestra’s Personal Favorites
This concert is part of the Opera Orchestra's chamber series – our musicians’ very own series of performances, offering high-quality performances in a relaxed atmosphere. The musicians themselves define the repertoire, choosing music they are passionate about.
The Opera Orchestra consists of around 100 full-time orchestral musicians and has, in recent years, established itself as one of Norway's leading orchestras. Throughout the season, they perform in our opera and ballet productions on the Main Stage in addition to giving their own large-scale symphonic concerts.
You are now invited to enjoy a more intimate format – up close with both the music and musicians – to celebrate a musical anniversary full of heart and soul.
This is the second of four concerts that make up the Norwegian National Opera Orchestra’s chamber series. For the first concert of the season, the Opera Orchestra’s strings are treating the audience to a celebration of Maurice Ravel’s 150th anniversary.
