My first Opera

Short and sweet 

On our Second Stage, we invite you to a short and delightful daytime parent-and-baby concert. Experience opera singing up close, in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Three of our opera soloists and a presenter will guide you through the experience. 

Arias and feeding welcome 

During the performance, it’s perfectly fine to make noise, move around, and react along the way. No one expects the youngest audience members to sit still – quite the opposite! There’s room here for babbling, crying, and singing along. 

Share a cultural experience 

For adults, this is a wonderful opportunity to share an artistic experience – both with other adults who are home during the day, and with your child. 

You may even experience opera in a new way yourself: close to the voice, the music, and the moment.
