Anne Heistø Aavatsmark

Anne Heistø Aavatsmark has a strong professional foundation in music, with a background as a flautist, including work with the Oslo Philharmonic, and many years of close involvement in the music and orchestral sector. She also holds an Executive Master of Management from BI Norwegian Business School.

Aavatsmark has extensive experience in senior positions within Norwegian musical life. Her previous roles include positions at the Norwegian Baroque Orchestra, the Norwegian National Youth Orchestra, the Centre for Talent Development at Barratt Due Institute of Music, and Oslo Sinfonietta/Cikada. She has also served as Managing Editor for NRK Classical and NRK Jazz.

Anne joins The Norwegian National Opera Orchestra from her role as Head of Section at MUNCH.
