Myrna Lømo
Myrna Lømo joined the Norwegian National Ballet 2 in autumn 2026, after guesting with the Norwegian National Ballet in the 2025/2026 season. With the company, she appeared in productions including The Nutcracker, La Bayadère and Romeo and Juliet.
Lømo holds a bachelor’s degree in classical ballet from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. In her graduation performance, she danced the role of Medora, one of the leading female roles in Le Corsaire, and she was also selected as one of the principal dancers in excerpts from Jiří Kylián’s Bella Figura. During her studies, she performed both classical and contemporary solos, including a contemporary choreography created for her by Camilla Spidsøe. Already in her first and second years at the Academy, she was chosen to dance the title role in Haugtussa, choreographed by Kristian Støvind. She was also offered the role of Clara in The Nutcracker with Junior Ballet Istanbul.
As part of her final year at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, Lømo appeared in the Norwegian National Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker, dancing Arabian and Snowflake. She has also completed an internship with the State Ballet of Georgia in Tbilisi, under the artistic direction of Nina Ananiashvili, who was her personal mentor. There, she appeared in classical productions including Don Quixote and Swan Lake.
During lower secondary school, Lømo was part of the national initiative for classical ballet through the collaboration between the Norwegian National Ballet School and Ruseløkka School. She has distinguished herself as an award-winning young dancer, with top placements in international competitions including the International Dance Competition Greece, the International Dance Competition Cologne and Tanzolymp. Lømo has twice received scholarships from Thorleif Dahl’s Ballet Fund and from the Skipsreder Tom Wilhelmsen Foundation, and is also a recipient of the Franzefoss Scholarship.
