Pedro Alcantara
Pedro Alcantara joined the Norwegian National Ballet in autumn 2025, after spending two years with Norwegian National Ballet 2. There, he performed a wide range of classical and contemporary repertoire, including Remanso by Nacho Duato, the pas de deux from Le Corsaire, the Three Gentlemen in MacMillan’s Manon, and the Russian Dance in Boyadjiev’s The Nutcracker, in addition to several soloist roles.
Before joining Norwegian National Ballet 2, Alcantara danced with the Ballet Nacional de Cuba in Havana for one year. His repertoire there included the Toreadors in Don Quixote and the solo work Ballet 101, as well as several pas de deux from the classical repertoire, including Grand Pas Classique and La Bayadère.
Alcantara (b. 2004) is from Havana, Cuba, where he began dancing at the age of ten. He trained for eight years at the Fernando Alonso National Ballet School of Cuba. Alongside his career as a dancer, he has also worked as a ballet teacher.
